Catawba's Query, Link Named Baseball Players Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Catawba College catcher Ryan Query and starting pitcher Paul Link have been named the South Atlantic Conference’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, announced by league officials on Monday afternoon.

Query hit .571 for the week (12-of-21) and drove in seven RBIs for the Indians.  The sophomore had two four-hit games this week and tallied two doubles and one homerun for the week.  The Kannapolis, N.C. native is batting .515 with 10 RBIs through the first nine games of the season.

Link tossed seven strong innings in a 6-5 victory over number-one ranked Tampa University.  The senior also picked up the victory by tossing 5.2 innings in a 3-0 victory over Pfeiffer University.  The Cleveland, N.C. native posted a 3.29 earned run average while going 2-0 for the week.
