#1 CATAWBA 11, #4 MARS HILL 1 | HIGHLIGHTS | INTERVIEW 
KODAK, Tenn. -- Catawba moved into Sunday's winner's bracket final with an 11-1 win over fourth-seeded Mars Hill at the 2017 Pilot/Flying J South Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Smokies Stadium.  The top-seeded Catawba Indians, ranked 20th in NCAA II, win for the 10th straight time and improve to 37-12.  The Lions are eliminated from the tournament and fall to 29-21.  Catawba will face either Lincoln Memorial or Newberry on Sunday at 3:45 pm. KODAK, Tenn. – Freshman Jordan Davis had not thrown more than 3 1/3 innings in 2017 but went the distance to earn his first-career win in an elimination game in the South Atlantic Conference Baseball Championships to help seventh-seeded Carson-Newman topple fifth-seeded Tusculum 11-5 Saturday afternoon at Smokies Stadium. KODAK, Tenn. – Logan Augustine (Urbandale, Iowa) launched a pair of three-run homers and drove in a career-high six runs as second-seeded Lincoln Memorial (31-17) remained scorching hot with a 13-0 blasting of third-seeded Newberry (32-20) on day two of the 2017 Pilot/Flying J South Atlantic Conference Baseball Championship at Smokies Stadium. The Railsplitters advance to play top-seeded Catawba Sunday at noon on Sunday.
