CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team, seeded second in the South Atlantic Conference Championships, defeated seventh-seeded Anderson University by a score of 79-61 this evening in Curry Arena. The win over the Trojans is the third for the Royals this season and it moves the home team's overall record to 26-3. Anderson closed their season at 13-16. FULL RECAP

HARROGATE, Tenn. -- Chris Perry (Bartow, Fla.) and Luquon Choice (Laurens, S.C.) combined for 55 points as the top-seeded and No. 9 nationally-ranked Railsplitters (25-4) rallied from a nine-point first-half deficit to take down the eight-seeded Tusculum Pioneers (12-17) 88-71 in the quarterfinals of the 2017 South Atlantic Conference Championship on Wednesday night at Tex Turner Arena. JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Fourth-seeded Carson-Newman (19-10) used an amorphous blob of a two-three zone to force fifth-seeded Newberry (18-11) into shooting a SAC record 57 threes en route to a 96-74 win over the Wolves Wednesday night at Holt Fieldhouse in the quarterfinals of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament. FULL RECAP 

 

 WINGATE 91, CATAWBA 85
Wingate, N.C.----The third-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs overcame a 13-point deficit Wednesday night, rallying for a 91-85 victory over sixth-seeded Catawba College in the quarterfinals of the South Atlantic Conference men's basketball tournament. Wingate improves to 20-9 overall, advancing to the SAC Tournament semifinals to face second-seeded Queens. Catawba ends its season at 18-11 overall. FULL RECAP
