ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) – Three South Atlantic Conference men's basketball teams have earned bids to the 2018 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Southeast Regional, the NCAA announced today. Lincoln Memorial earned the No. 1 seed and will host of the tournament at the Railsplitter's Tex Turner Arena March 10, 11 and 13. Queens earned the No. 2 seed and Carson-Newman was picked as the No. 5 seed.
The Southeast Regional is one of eight eight-team regionals, which will be played at on-campus sites. The eight regional champions will advance to the 2018 NCAA Division II Men's Elite Eight will be held at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, March 20, 22 and 24, in conjunction with the 2018 NCAA Division II Women's Elite Eight. The women's games will be played March 19, 21 and 23. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and the Sioux Falls Sports Authority will serve as hosts.
