ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens' Alexandra Bruder has been selected the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Jasmin Singh of Queens has been selected as the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Apr. 10th – Apr. 16th, the League announced today.
Bruder, totaled nine goals and two assists as the Royals went 2-0 for the week. Against Mount Olive last Wednesday, she scored four goals with two assists, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers. Against Coker, she scored five goals while adding two ground balls and three draw controls. For the week, she totaled nine goals, two assists, 3-3 on free-position shots, five ground balls, seven draw controls, and three caused turnovers. The honor marks her second Player of the Week selection this season.
Singh, a junior from Worthington, Ohio, totaled five caused turnovers and six ground balls last week to propel the Royals to 2-0 for the week. In the 20-9 victory over Mount Olive, she had four caused turnovers, four ground balls, and one draw control. Singh then recorded two ground balls, one draw control, and one caused turnover in the 17-10 win over Coker. The honor marks her first Player of the Week selection this season.
