Wingate's Morland and Van Heyst Earn AVCA Third Team All-American Honors; 10 More Named Honorable Mention
Wingate's Syndey Morland and Maya Van Heyst were announced as Third Team All-Americans by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) on Wednesday afternoon. Joining the duo were 10 players from the South Atlantic Conference who were all named Honorable Mention All-Americans.
Morland was recently named the Southeast Regional Player of the Year and is a repeat All-American. The senior was a Second Team selection in 2024. Van Heyst also earns a consecutive All-American honor as she repeated as a Third Teamer for the second straight year.
