Seven SAC Football Student-Athletes Named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans

AUSTIN, Texas | Seven South Atlantic Conference football student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-America® Division II football team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Division II Academic All-America® program.

Representing the SAC were first team selections Andrew Strickland and Tucker Mullis of Wingate and Tusculum's Jackson Cauthen. On the second team were Lenoir-Rhyne's Grayson Willingham and Chase Allbaugh, along with Catawba's Demetrius Blackwell and Tusculum's Andrew Cantrell.

The 26 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II football first team members hold a composite 3.82 undergraduate GPA. Ten first team honorees hold a 3.94 or better cumulative GPA. Nine CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II football selections are repeat picks with eight of the veterans making the 2020-21 first team.
