Carson-Newman's Browder Earns Men's Basketball Elite 23 Award
ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) – Carson-Newman's Jack Browder was honored as the 2024-25 SAC Men's Basketball Wealth Enhancement Group Elite 23 award winner on Wednesday (March 5).
This award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) in each of the league's 23 team championship sports.
Browder, a junior guard from Kingsport, Tenn., has a 4.00 GPA and 105 credit hours earned while studying business administration. On the court, Browder has averaged 19.7 points per game with 8.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest. He had a stretch where he scored over 30 points in three straight games, including a season-high 36 against UVA Wise on December 4.
