Newton is the perfect destination for a quick, overnight getaway or a more extended stay. Downtown Newton is vibrant and eclectic. The blocks surrounding the 1924 Courthouse are currently undergoing a major revitalization that is the largest infrastructure investment made in the community in generations.

Southside Park

Located West of US #Hwy. 321 Business, behind National Guard Armory A 27 acre passive park, with a mile walking/jogging trail, open air amphitheater, numerous picnic tables, play area, two picnic shelters, two sand volleyball courts, two horseshoe pits, informal ball field, and a large open play area for soccer, kite flying, badminton, frisbee, etc.
