No. 23 Lincoln Memorial guard Luquon Choice has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played the opening week of the season
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – No. 23 Lincoln Memorial guard Luquon Choice has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played the opening week of the season, the League announced today.
Choice, a sophomore from Laurens, S.C., posted 21.0 points per game on 64 percent from the field and 64 percent from long range to lead the Railsplitters to a pair of wins last week. He got his week started with 17 points on 54 percent shooting to go along with four boards and two assists in LMU's 96-72 win over Lees McRae on Nov. 14. The next day against King, Choice poured in 25 points as he connected on 8-of-11 from the field and 6-of-9 from downtown. He also pulled down five rebounds and dished out an assist to lead Lincoln Memorial to a 70-63 win. The honor is his first Player of the Week award this season.
