The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Dec. 19
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial guard Megan Pittman has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 12-18, the League announced today.
Pittman, a senior from Liberty, KY, led 11th-ranked Lincoln Memorial to wins over South Atlantic Conference rivals Wingate and Newberry last week. She averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds on the week, while hitting 41.4% from the field, 60% from behind the arc and 83.3% from the free throw line. In the 84-83 double overtime victory at Wingate, Pittman played all 50 minutes and posted 18 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, two steals and four blocks. In the 79-53 win over Newberry, Pittman scored 14 points to go along with nine rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes of action. Pittman currently leads the South Atlantic Conference in offensive rebounds. The honor is her first Player of the Week selection this season.
