The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week, Nov. 24

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate forward Isiah Cureton has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 17-23, the League announced today.

Cureton, a sophomore from Waxhaw, N.C., averaged 18.0 points per game, ripped down 19 boards and dished out 10 assists to lead the Bulldogs to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week.  He got his week started with 18 points on 60 percent from the floor to go along with six boards, three assists and three blocks to lead Wingate to a 80-74 win at Catawba on Nov. 19.  Three days later at Tusculum, Cureton poured in 18 points, pulled down 13 rebounds and posted seven assists and two blocks as Wingate defeated the Pioneers, 80-59.  The honor marks his first Player of the Week plaudit this season.

Also nominated for Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Darius Moose (Brevard), Errick Bethel (Coker), Luquon Choice (Lincoln Memorial) and Mitch Riggs (Newberry).
