The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Nov. 23

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens guard Carmen Richardson has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 16 – 22, the League announced today.

Richardson, a sophomore from Rocky Mount, N.C., led the Royals as the top point scorer in a 1-1 week against Johnson & Wales, and USC Aiken where she notched 22 points in both contests. From inside the three point line Richardson made 15 baskets, and posted an 81.8 field goal percentage in the 71-33 win against Johnson & Wales. Richardson also chipped in 12 rebounds, a block, and five assists while making 80 percent of her free throws, going 12-for-15 at the line.  The award marks her first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
