The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, Feb. 9
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson's Lindsay Gregory has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 2-8, the League announced today.
Gregory, a senior from Simpsonville, S.C., went undefeated in singles and doubles play for the Trojans last week. Against Columbia College on Feb. 5, she teamed with Mairead Cleary to pick up an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles and followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Lydia Royal at the No. 4 flight. Two days later vs. Belmont Abbey, Gregory and Cleary posted an 8-0 shutout win over Brigid Donohue and Erika Noblett at the second doubles flight. In singles action against the Crusaders, she posted a straight set win over Meghan Philp at the No. 5 flight, 6-2, 6-1. She closed out her week with an 8-3 doubles win at the top flight and a 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 win over Ragan Palmer at the No. 4 flight. The honor is her Player of the Week honor this season.
