The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week, Dec. 1
Mars Hill guard Patrick Monroe has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Mars Hill guard Patrick Monroe has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 24-30, the League announced today.
Monroe, a junior from Durham, N.C., poured in a career-best 31 points to lead the Lions to an 84-73 win at Carson-Newman on Nov. 25. He connected on a school-record nine triples to go along with 10-of-21 from the field and pair at the line. He also dished out three assists and came away with two rebounds and one steal against the Eagles. The honor is his first Player of the Week selection this season.
Also nominated for Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Phil Wallace (Brevard), Jerrin Morrison (Catawba), Luquon Choice (Lincoln Memorial), Demarkus Smith (Newberry) and Chase Mounce (Tusculum).
