The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, Feb. 23

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Andrea Ternera has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 16-22, the League announced today.

Ternera, a sophomore from Bogota, Columbia, went 2-0 on Feb. 21 to lead Wingate to an 8-1 win over South Atlantic Conference opponent Mars Hill.  She teamed with Becca Thomas at No. 2 doubles to pick up an 8-0 win.  At the No. 1 singles flight, Ternera posted a 7-5, 6-3, straight-set win.  The honor is her first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
