Men's Basketball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson forward Osmar Garcia-Araujo has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week five of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today.
Garcia-Araujo, a junior from Sugar Hill, Ga., led Anderson to the first 8-0 start in program history as they went to Carson-Newman and came away with a 94-80 victory on Saturday. Garcia-Araujo notched career highs with 34 points and 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. He went 13-of-20 from the field and 8-for-10 at the free throw line in the victory. He added four assists and four blocked shots.

Women's Basketball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – UVA Wise guard Caroline Mullins has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week five of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today.
Mullins, a sophomore from Jasper, Ga., led the team to a 2-0 week and a 4-0 start in the SAC with wins over Emory & Henry and Lenoir-Rhyne. She averaged 23.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks a game last week while playing all but two minutes. Mullins posted 28 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Emory & Henry, and had 18 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in the overtime win over Lenoir-Rhyne.

Swimming
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week for meets competed in during the week of December 8–14, 2025. Carson-Newman's Gabriel Morales was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week, while Wingate's Natalia Dwojak earned Women's Swimmer of the Week honors.
Morales, a junior from Orlando, Fla., set new pool records with his performances in the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly on the road at #5 Wingate. Morales finished in 47.74 in the breaststroke, to claim a gold medal. He added another first-place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 48.46. He finished third in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:53.56 and added a top finish in the 200 medley relay.
Dwojak, a senior from Lublin, Poland, collected five gold medals and two silver medals as the No. 9 Bulldogs earned a 199-116 South Atlantic Conference victory over No. 19 Carson-Newman Friday and Saturday at the Wingate Natatorium. Dwojak won three individual events and contributed to two relay triumphs. In Friday's opening event, the 2025 SAC Swimmer of the Year set a new pool record in the 50 Freestyle during the first leg of the 200 Freestyle Relay. Dwojak's Friday 50 Freestyle time was 23.49. Dwojak earned silver medals in the 400 Medley Relay (3:56.58) and the 200 Breaststroke (2:21.67). She lost the 200 Breaststroke by 0.03 seconds.
