Wingate and Lincoln Memorial Earn Spots in NCAA DII Baseball Southeast Regional

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The NCAA Division II Baseball Committee announced its field of 56 teams that will participate in the 2018 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship on Sunday (May 13). Wingate and Lincoln Memorial will represent the South Atlantic Conference in the double-elimination tournament, which will be held at eight regional sites May 17-21. 

Wingate earned the No. 6 seed and they will take on the No. 3 seed Belmont Abbey, while Lincoln Memorial will be the No. 7 seed and they will face-off against the No. 2 seed Georgia College.  

The Bulldogs and the Railsplitters will both travel to Tigerville, S.C. and host North Greenville University.

Winners of the regional sites will advance to the finals of the 2018 NCAA DII Baseball Championship will take place at the USA Baseball National Training Center in Cary, N.C., May 26-June 2.
