Newberry Upsets Top-Seed Catawba in Extra-Innings Thriller
Newberry's Adian Baur hit a ground ball down the first baseline with bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 10th inning which allowed Dalton Lansdowne to score and give the Wolves a thrilling 9-8 win over No. 1 seed Catawaba. With the win, the Wolves avoid elimination and advance to play Tusculum at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday (April 25), while Catawba falls to an elimination game. The Indians will await the loser of Sunday's 11 a.m. game between Carson-Newman and Wingate.
