The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week Awards

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Coker's Kody Hanna was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Baseball Player of the Week, while Lenoir-Rhyne's Joshua Lanham was named AstroTurf Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played during week seven of the 2022 season, the Conference office announced today. 

Hanna, a sophomore first baseman from Hemingway, S.C., led the Cobras to a SAC series win over Carson-Newman last week by batting .692 with four doubles, two home runs, five runs scored, and six RBIs. He recorded at least one hit, including a double in each of Coker's four games for the week, and finished the week with a .714 on-base percentage and a 1.462 slugging percentage. 

Lanham, a sophomore right-hander from Johns Creek, Ga., was nearly untouchable in his lone outing of the week as he threw a complete game in the Bears' win over Anderson (13-1). He went the distance, allowing just two hits and one run with 10 strikeouts. Lanham now leads the SAC in strikeouts with 56 and has a league-low ERA of 1.43 on the season.
