Gouge Named Regional Pitcher of the Year; 11 Named D2CCA All-Region

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference placed 11 student-athletes on the 2026 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region Baseball Teams, highlighted by Casey Gouge being named the Southeast Region Pitcher of the Year.

Casey Gouge headlined six SAC selections on the D2CCA All-Southeast Region First Team after earning Region Pitcher of the Year honors. Joining Gouge on the first team were fellow Catawba College standouts Joe Burleyson and Brandon Crabtree, along with Jalen Evans of Wingate University, Matt Procopio of Lenoir-Rhyne University, and Ben Karpowicz.

Second Team honors went to Chad Harvey, Kellen Gradisar, Tanner McCammon, Mackenzie Wainwright, and Jake Dunlap.

Gouge earned the region's top pitching honor after anchoring the Catawba staff throughout the season. He was also selected as a First Team all-region pitcher alongside teammates Burleyson and Crabtree.

Wingate placed four players on the all-region teams, while Lenoir-Rhyne also added three selections. Catawba also had four all-region honorees.

The D2CCA All-Southeast Region teams are selected by sports information directors from NCAA Division II institutions throughout the region.
