Carson-Newman, Mars Hill, Wingate Remain Ranked In Region Football Poll
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Heading into the final week of play, Carson-Newman College, Mars Hill College and Wingate University continue to be ranked in the NCAA Division II Super Region II football poll.
The top five teams remained the same, with Carson-Newman holding the second spot. Mars Hill, despite falling to Tusculum College, remains at No. 5
Arkansas Tech moved up two spots from eighth to sixth, bumping Morehouse and Benedict down one spot. Wingate remains at No. 9 despite their setback to Carson-Newman.
The region poll will determine the teams advancing to the NCAA Playoffs. The top six teams will advance to the playoffs. Earned access to the playoffs can be gained by a conference if a conference representative finishes in the top eight of the final super regional rankings.
