SAC Offensive Player Of The Week
Bo Cordell, Tusculum College
So., QB, Cincinnati, Ohio (Indian Hill HS)
Sophomore quarterback Bo Cordell passed for a school and South
Atlantic Conference record seven touchdowns in Tusculum's 51-35
league win over Brevard College. Cordell went 38-for-55 for 408
yards, including a school-record five TD tosses in the first half.
He has passed for over 400 passing yards in eight consecutive games
this season, which is a new league record and one of the longest
runs in NCAA Division II history. The 2009 SAC Offensive Freshman
of the Year has passed for 32 touchdowns this year, which are the
second most in school history and tied for fourth-best by a SAC
quarterback. His 321 completions this season are a new TC
single-season record and second most in the league record book.
The 2010 Harlon Hill Trophy candidate is averaging 416.4 passing
yards per game, which is the best in the nation for all NCAA
divisions (FBS, FCS, II, III). Cordell has tallied 55 career TD
passes, which are already second most in school history. In
Saturday's win, he also recorded his 7,000th career passing yard,
becoming only the second TC signal caller in school history to
achieve that milestone (7,206).

Damien Lee helped Catawba remain in first place in the league as
he forced a pair of fumbles to go along with two sacks and three

Hill driving for a tying touchdown in the first quarter at the
Catawba 11, Lee forced his second fumble of the day and also
recovered to deny the Lions in the red zone. The red-shirt freshman
made seven total tackles on the afternoon. On the season, Lee leads

SAC Special Teams Player Of The Week
RP Lopez, Wingate University
Sr., PK, Lakeland, Fla. (Lakeland HS)
Wingate redshirt senior place kicker RP Lopez had his second
conference game-winning kick of the season as Wingate defeated
Lenoir-Rhyne University 27-24 Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs
remain tied for first place in the SAC, improving to 6-2 overall
and 4-1 in the league. Lopez hit a 25-yard field goal with 3:48
remaining to break a 24-24 tie. On Saturday, he had two field goals
and three extra points. He also hit a game-winner against
Carson-Newman earlier this year. On the 2010 season, Lopez has not
missed a kick. He is eight-for-eight on field goals and 28-for-28
on extra points. He is the only SAC kicker who can make this claim.
In 2009, he set the school record for extra points in a season with
40.
