Wingate, Catawba, Mars Hill In NCAA Football Region Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division II Football Committee has released this week's poll, and three South Atlantic Conference teams are included in the top 10.
Wingate University is ranked third in the poll, up one spot from last week. The Bulldogs are 7-2 overall, with all games coming against Division II opponents.
Catawba College dropped from third to eighth after its loss to Tusculum. Mars Hill, at 5-5 overall and 5-4 against DII opponents, climbs into the poll at No. 9.
Six teams from Super Region Two will be selected for the NCAA Football Championship. The top two seeds in each selection region (super regional) will receive a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
Selections will be made Sunday, November 14.
