SAC Names Week Four Football Players of the Week
Mars Hill’s Shaikel Davis and Wingate’s Richie Kazazian and Matthew Sierk have been picked as the week four SAC Football Players of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Mars Hill's Shaikel Davis and Wingate's Richie Kazazian and Matthew Sierk have been picked as the week four SAC Football Players of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Davis, a sophomore running back, rushed for 190 yards on 24 carries to lead Mars Hill to a convincing 42-7 win at North Greenville on Saturday. He averaged 7.9 yards per carry on the day to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Davis' performance also included a pair of touchdowns. For the season, Davis is averaging a SAC-best 120.8 rushing yards per game.

Kazazian was picked as the SAC Defensive Player of the Week after recovering three fumbles in Wingate's 42-13 win at Brevard. The linebacker returned the fumbles for a combined total of 117 yards, including a 23-yard return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Kazazian also recorded five tackles in the game.
Sierk tallied 13 points in the Wingate victory to earn the SAC Special Teams Player of the Week award. The senior kicker was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals and made four of five PAT attempts.
Sierk's field goals came from distances of 45, 43 and 19 yards. He also booted four touchbacks on kickoffs.
