ROCK HILL, S.C. – Mars Hill wide receiver Duenta Jennings, Lenoir-Rhyne linebacker Tanner Botts and Carson-Newman kicker Curt Duncan have been picked as the SAC Football Players of the Week, it was announced on Monday.
Jennings, the SAC Offensive Player of the Week, helped Mars Hill stay atop the SAC standings by catching eight passes for 212 yards in the Lions' 23-20 overtime win at Tusculum. Jennings also scored a rushing touchdown on an end-around in the first quarter.

Botts led Lenoir-Rhyne to its fifth-straight win on Saturday by posting 15 tackles and two interceptions in a 44-13 victory at Wingate, earing the conference's Defensive Player of the Week award.
Both of Botts' interceptions came in the second half, helping L-R break open the game after going into the halftime break with a 10-6 lead.
Botts' 64 tackles in 2012 are the second-most on the L-R team.
Duncan earned SAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for the third-straight week and fourth time this season after yet another field-position controlling performance in Carson-Newman's 35-19 win at Brevard.
Three of Duncan's six kickoffs went for touchbacks, helping limit Brevard's starting field position to its own 23 yard line. The junior was also a perfect 5-for-5 on extra points.
