NCAA D-II Football Regional Rankings 

 

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted three teams in the NCAA Regional Football Rankings, the NCAA announced recently.  Catawba came in at No. 4, followed by Carson-Newman at No. 6 and Wingate at No. 7.

 

All three squads are receiving votes in the American Football Coaches Association Poll.  The Eagles are currently ranked No. 28, with Wingate coming in at No. 30.  Catawba rounds out the group with a No. 35 national ranking.

 

Wingate sports the best SAC record in the Super Region II as it is 6-2 in regional games.  Catawba and Carson-Newman are each 5-2 in the Super Region II.

 

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Football Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
