The SAC Earns Three NCAA D-II Football Playoff Bids for the Second Time in Three Years
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference placed three teams into the 2015 NCAA Division II Football Playoffs for the second time in three years, the NCAA announced today. Catawba earned the No. 3 seed in the Super Region II, while Carson-Newman was close behind at No. 5. Newberry rounds out the list of SAC member institutions in the NCAA D-II Football Playoffs at the No. 7 seed. The Catawba Indians will host its first round game. Below is a look at the schedule.
First Round
No. 1 West Georgia, bye
No. 6 Tuskegee at No. 3 Catawba
No. 5 Carson-Newman at 4 Valdosta State
No. 7 Newberry at No. 2 North Alabama
