The South Atlantic Conference Posts Two Football Teams in the NCAA Regional Rankings

NCAA D-II Football Regional Rankings 

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted two teams in the NCAA Super Region II Regional Football Rankings, the NCAA announced recently.  Newberry came in at No. 5 while Wingate finished at No. 6.

Wolves are currently ranked No. 23 in the American Football Coaches Association National Poll, with Wingate coming in at No. 24. The Newberry Wolves are 6-1 in the region while the Wingate Bulldogs are 7-1 in the Super Region II.

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Football Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
