Two South Atlantic Conference Football Teams Ranked in First NCAA Super Region 2 Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted two teams in the NCAA Super Region 2 Regional Football Rankings.  Lenoir-Rhyne came in at No. 3, while Carson-Newman checks in at No. 6.

The Bears are currently ranked No. 24in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II National Coaches' Poll with a record of 7-1 over, including a perfect 5-0 in conference play.

The Eagles are 6-2 overall and are 4-1 in the SAC.

Lenoir-Rhyne has won seven straight games, while Carson-Newman is riding a four game winning streak.

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Football Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
