Catawba's Brown Named D2Football.com National Offensive Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – D2Football.com is pleased to announce the players of the week for week two of the Division II season.  Catawba quarterback Preston Brown was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week.

Brown, a sophomore from Charlotte, N.C., completed 24 of 30 pass attempts (80 percent) for 372 yards and a Catawba program record six touchdowns in the Catawba Indians' 55-15 win over Livingstone College. Brown also scrambled for 34 yards on the ground, finishing the game with 406 yards of total offense.  In only his second career college start, the redshirt sophomore completed 24 of 30 attempts for 374 yards, six TD and zero INT. He also had a 43 yard rush to set up the Indians with a first and goal.
