Lenoir-Rhyne Drops in National Polls after Week Zero Loss at West Florida

ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) -- After a tough regular season opener that saw them defeated by top-10 West Florida, the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears have dropped in both national football polls. The Bears slot in at No. 20 in the D2Football poll while they fell to No. 24 in the AFCA Coaches' Poll.

Lenoir-Rhyne had been ranked No. 14 in the 2025 D2Football Preseason Poll and No. 17 in the previously released AFCA poll. 

The Bears were picked atop the SAC Preseason Coaches' Poll and are coming off a 10-3 season that saw them win at West Alabama in the first round of the playoffs. The Bears return to action
