Four Remain in the Third Round of NCAA Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. — Four South Atlantic Conference (SAC) football programs have earned recognition in this week's NCAA Division II Super Region 2 rankings, with the Newberry Wolves, Wingate Bulldogs, Emory & Henry Wasps and Carson‑Newman Eagles all listed among the region's top 10 teams. The Wolves clinched an automatic berth, the first in SAC football history, with Saturday's 28-21 win over Carson-Newman to win the SAC Championship. This is the third round of regional rankings.
The SAC continues to demonstrate its depth and competitiveness on the gridiron, with these four programs earning regional distinction. Each team remains firmly in the mix for postseason consideration as the regular season nears its conclusion.
