SAC Produces Region-Best 17 Football D2CCA All-Region Selections

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference once again established itself as one of the premier football leagues in NCAA Division II, landing a region-best 17 selections on the 2025 D2CCA All-Super Region Two Football Team, as announced Wednesday. Wingate led all SAC programs with eight All-Region honorees, the most of any school in Super Region Two.

The SAC's strong presence included nine First Team selections and eight Second Team picks, marking another year of standout postseason recognition for the conference.

Wingate produced the largest All-Region haul behind a balanced group of offensive and defensive standouts. Offensive lineman Will Hart, wide receiver Jaylen Himes, and running back Xavier Pugh were each named to the First Team, while defensive lineman Mandjou Berte and linebacker Ryan Green joined them on the defensive First Team list. Emory & Henry running back Jordan Jackson and Lenoir-Rhyne return specialist Tye Robinson also earned First Team honors, along with Catawba offensive lineman Avery Swinton.

On the defensive front, Emory & Henry defensive lineman Ean Rhea was also named First Team All-Region, rounding out the SAC's top honorees.

The SAC added eight Second Team selections, highlighted by Wingate's All-Region trio of Porfirio Acosta (OL), Elihu Lipscomb (DL), and Caleb Bonesteel (PK). Other Second Team SAC standouts included Charlie Guinade (Mars Hill) at wide receiver, Jay'Den Williams (Carson-Newman) on the offensive line, Evan Simons (Catawba) at linebacker, Cruz Temple (Carson-Newman) at linebacker, and Desmond Greene (Lenoir-Rhyne) at cornerback.

With 17 total All-Region honorees, the SAC outpaced the Gulf South Conference (13) and SIAC (14), reinforcing the league's depth, competitiveness, and continued national profile across Super Region Two.
