Anderson’s Hash, Mars Hill’s Booker Named SAC Basketball Players of the Week
Anderson guard Chandler Hash and Mars Hill forward Armeka Booker have been selected as the SAC Basketball Players of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson guard Chandler Hash and Mars Hill forward Armeka Booker have been selected as the SAC Basketball Players of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Hash kept the Anderson men tied with Wingate atop the conference standings by averaging 30 points and five rebounds in the Trojans' road wins at Newberry and Catawba.
The junior opened his week by scoring 22 points and grabbing nine rebounds in AU's 92-85 overtime win at Newberry. He also made 6-of-11 three pointers in the game.
Hash then scored a career-high 38 on Saturday in an 80-64 victory at Catawba. He shot 10-of-15 in the game - including 6-of-9 from long range - and went a perfect 12-of-12 from the foul line.
Hash also recorded four assists, two steals and two blocks on the week. He is now fourth in the conference in scoring at 17.3 points per game.

Booker averaged a double-double of 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds last week as Mars Hill split games with Lincoln Memorial and Brevard.
On Wednesday in a 67-65 setback at LMU, Booker finished with 12 points and 11 boards. Then on Saturday, Booker scored 23 points and pulled down 12 boards in a 63-52 win over Brevard. She scored 14 points in the second half against BC as the Lions rallied from nine down.
Booker also averaged two blocks and 1.5 steals in the pair of games. She is fifth in the SAC in shooting percentage this season at 48.7-percent and sixth in rebounding at 7.9 per game.
