LMU’s Bailey, Lenoir-Rhyne’s Charles Claim SAC Basketball Weekly Honors
Two of SAC basketball’s highest scorers have claimed the conference’s latest Player of the Week awards, with Lincoln Memorial forward Vincent Bailey earning the distinction on the men’s side and Lenoir-Rhyne guard Jazmine Charles claiming the women’s honor.

SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week | Vincent Bailey, Lincoln Memorial
Bailey had a monster week for Lincoln Memorial, averaging 30 points and 12.5 rebounds in a pair of Lincoln Memorial victories that extended the Railsplitters' winning streak to 13-straight.
Bailey opened his week with a career-high 35 points and 15 rebounds in a 96-75 LMU win at Brevard on Thursday. He shot 14-of-20 from the field and made all seven free-throw attempts in the game.
The senior was nearly as dominant on Saturday in a 95-81 win over Coker, finishing with 25 points and 10 rebounds, giving him eight double-doubles on the season.
Bailey shot 64.1-percent in the two games, and currently ranks second in the SAC in both scoring and rebounding.
SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week | Jazmine Charles, Lenoir-Rhyne
Charles earns SAC Player of the Week honors for the third time this season after averaging 26.5 points and seven rebounds in a pair of Lenoir-Rhyne victories over Catawba and Brevard.
Charles scored 29 points on Wednesday in a 66-65 L-R overtime victory against Catawba, then went for 24 points and 11 rebounds on Saturday in a 68-57 win over Brevard, marking her fourth double-double of the season.
Overall, Charles shot 60-percent from the field in the two games, including going 10-of-15 from beyond the arc. The junior leads the SAC in scoring at 19.4 points per game.
