Lincoln Memorial's Burries Named South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial guard Me'Kell Burries has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week two of the 2023-24 season, the Conference announced today.

Burries, a junior from Newport, Ky., led the No. 6 Railsplitters to a 1-1 record last week, including a 95-90 win over No. 23 Alabama Huntsville. Burries scored a career-high 37 points, going 14-for-18 (77.8 percent) from the field with a career-high nine three-pointers. He also hauled in three rebounds with three assists in the win. Burries closed out the week with an additional four points, three rebounds, and two blocks in LMU's 75-64 loss to No. 24 West Alabama.
