Wingate's Massey Named South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate forward Josh Massey has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week ten of the 2023-24 season, the Conference announced today.

Massey, a junior from Monroe, N.C., led the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record last week, extending their winning streak to 10 games and improving them to 9-0 in SAC play. Massey had a pair of 20-plus point performances, including hitting the game-winning shot at Anderson (76-75) and scoring 17 of his game-high 23 points in the second half to lead the Bulldogs' 84-83 win over Carson-Newman. For the week he averaged 25 points with 4.5 rebounds and shot 52.5 percent from the field.
