Wingate's Taylor Named South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate guard Kendall Taylor has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week twelve of the 2023-24 season, the Conference announced today. 

Taylor, a junior from Sacramento, Calif., led the Bulldogs to a 2-0 SAC record last week with wins over Lenoir-Rhyne (81-77) and Emory & Henry (90-78). He averaged 23.5 points per game and eight rebounds, with four assists, three steals, and two blocks over the two-game span. Taylor scored 28 points against Lenoir-Rhyne, pulling down eight rebounds with two assists, a steal, and a block. He then scored 19 points versus Emory & Henry with another eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block.
