Lincoln Memorial, Wingate, Catawba, and Carson-Newman Ranked in Latest NCAA Men's Basketball Southeast Region Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference had four schools ranked in the first NCAA Southeast Region Men's Basketball poll, which was released by the NCAA on Wednesday (Feb. 28). Lincoln Memorial is No. 4, Wingate is No. 7, Catawba is No. 8, and Carson-Newman is No. 10.
In addition to the three SAC schools ranked in this week's poll, there are two Conference Carolinas schools under consideration and four Peach Belt schools.
Lincoln Memorial has a record of 19-7, Wingate is 20-6, Catawba is 17-5, and Carson-Newman is 18-7.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
