ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) - The No. 3 seed Catawba Indians went on a 14-3 run in the final four minutes of regulation to force overtime versus No. 1 seed Lincoln Memorial and held a late defensive stand in overtime to claim its second consecutive South Atlantic Conference Tournament title, 61-60, at the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center Friday night.
Lincoln Memorial's Wes Enis led all scorers with 15 points, while Catawba's Kaleb Wallace had 14 points and four rebounds.
Also scoring in double figures for the Railsplitters was Osmar Garcia-Araujo with 13 points and six rebounds with Martez Brown adding 10 points and 13 rebounds and Jordan Walters had 10 points and nine rebounds.
Javeon Jones added 11 points and four rebounds for the Catawba Indians.
A seven-person All-Tournament team was named with Catawba's Peyton Gerald being named the tournament MVP.
