Trio of Men's Basketball Teams Appear in National Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) -- The NABC released its national polls for week seven of the 2024-25 regular season and the South Atlantic Conference boasts three nationally ranked men's basketball teams.
Leading the SAC teams in the rankings are the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters who slot in at No. 14 in the poll with a 9-2 overall record. LMU sits in second place in the conference standings with a 7-1 league mark.
Trailing LMU are the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears who are two spots lower at No. 16. The Bears are one of the hottest teams in the nation as they are riding a nine-game winning streak and are 11-2 overall and 8-1 in SAC play. They are first in the conference thanks to back-to-back wins over nationally ranked opponents in LMU and Coker.
Rounding out the SAC teams in the poll are the Coker Cobras. Coker is 21st nationally with an 11-2 record and a 7-2 SAC mark. The Cobras dropped three spots from No. 18 to 21 in this weeks poll after they dropped a tough 103-97 contest to Carson-Newman on Saturday.
