Wingate's Taylor Named SAC WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate guard Kendall Taylor has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week ten of the 2024-25 season, the Conference announced today.
Taylor, a senior from Sacramento, Calif., led the Bulldogs to a 14-point road win over Carson-Newman on Saturday. Taylor filled up the box score with 25 points, eight assists and seven rebounds while hitting 10-of-20 from the field and connecting on all five of his free throw attempts. He added a steal and only turned the ball over one time to give him an 8:1 assist to turnover ratio. The senior leads the league in scoring and ranks sixth in assists and seventh in rebounds. Taylor has scored 20 or more points in nine of 14 games this season while notching three double-doubles and a triple-double.
