Wingate's Taylor Named SAC WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate guard Kendall Taylor has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week twelve of the 2024-25 season, the Conference announced today.
Taylor, a senior from Sacramento, Calif., poured in 28.5 points per game on 62 percent shooting from the field while going 88 percent at the line and also averaging 9.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Taylor piled up 33 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists against No.16 Lenoir-Rhyne on 9-14 shooting from the field, going 3-4 from deep and 12-15 at the line while playing all 40 minutes. He followed with 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists at Emory & Henry, going 10-10 at the line. This is the second weekly honor for Taylor who leads the league in scoing.
