Carson-Newman's Hubbard Named SAC WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Carson-Newman guard Trey Hubbard has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 13 of the 2024-25 season, the Conference announced today.
Hubbard, a senior from Charlotte, N.C., dropped 28 points in each of Carson-Newman's wins last week. Against Mars Hill, Hubbard eclipsed 1,000 career points when he went 10-of-12 from the field and hit both of his 3-point attempts. He added nine assists and four rebounds to go with three steals. On Saturday, Hubbard went 11-for-19 against Newberry and had six assists and two rebounds to go with two steals. For the week, he shot 67.7 percent from the field, 57.1 percent from long range and averaged 28 points, 7.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.
