Wingate's Beeden and Lamm Named SAC Men's Golf Player and Coach of the Year: LMU's Dickins Takes Home Freshman of the Year
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Lewis Beeden has been named the 2026 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golfer of the Year, while his head coach, J.D. Lamm, has been voted the league's Coach of the Year. Lincoln Memorial's Harry Dickins earned SAC Freshman of the Year honors, the Conference office announced today.
Beeden, a senior from London, England, is the nation's top-ranked golfer with a 69.7 adjusted scoring average. He has recorded nine top-20 finishes, including seven top-10 showings and three top-five finishes. Beeden has shot par or better in 24 of his 30 rounds, including a school-record 9-under-par 63. He also claimed victories at the Patriot Fall Classic and the Tennessee River Rumble.
Dickins, a freshman from Salisbury, England, is ranked No. 20 nationally and sixth in the region. He holds a 70.6 adjusted scoring average and has two top-three finishes, including medalist honors at the First Federal Southeastern Collegiate in March, where he shot a 13-under-par.
Lamm earns SAC Coach of the Year honors after guiding Wingate to another impressive campaign. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 5 in the nation and No. 1 in the region with an adjusted scoring average of 281.8. Wingate has recorded four wins and five top-three finishes while compiling a team record of 129-22. The Bulldogs have finished outside the top five in just one tournament all season.
The 2026 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship will run from Sunday, April 18, through Tuesday, April 20, at The Preserve at Verdae in Greenville, S.C. This year's championship will feature 36 holes on Sunday, followed by 18 holes on Monday. After Monday's round, the top four teams will advance to medal match play, with the No. 1 seed facing the No. 4 seed and the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds squaring off. The winners will meet in the SAC Championship on Tuesday afternoon.
