Lenoir-Rhyne's Aliff Brings Home SAC Men's Golf Wealth Enhancement Group Elite 23
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Slade Aliff has been named the 2026 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the Conference office announced today.
A senior from Lenoir-Rhyne, Aliff has excelled both in the classroom and on the course during his career with the Bears. He holds a 3.85 cumulative GPA while majoring in management and has earned numerous academic honors throughout his collegiate career.
Aliff's academic accolades include the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition, membership in Chi Alpha Sigma and Delta Mu Delta, along with four Dean's List selections and one President's List honor.
On the course, Aliff turned in an outstanding senior season for the Bears, posting a 72.9 scoring average with two top-10 finishes while serving as Lenoir-Rhyne's top finisher at the SAC Championships. He also recorded a 74.6 scoring average with two top-10 finishes during his junior campaign after averaging 75.0 strokes per round as a sophomore.
In addition to his success academically and athletically, Aliff has been heavily involved in community service initiatives. He has volunteered as a coach with First Tee, worked alongside the Lenoir-Rhyne golf team at Catawba Springs Golf Course, served as a volunteer instructor at Roanoke Country Club during the summer, participated in Lenoir-Rhyne's 828 Day community service initiative and volunteered with Night to Shine, a prom event for individuals with disabilities.
The SAC Scholar-Athlete Award is presented annually to one student-athlete in each conference-sponsored sport and honors excellence in academics, athletics, leadership and community service.
