The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the fourth weekend of the 2020 season.  Coker garnered the offensive honors with Joe Venazio, while Wingate collected the defensive honors with Edward Erickson.

A sophomore attacker, Venazio led the Cobras to a perfect 2-0 weekend against Barton and Embry-Riddle. The Myrtle Beach, S.C. native put up nine goals and four assists for 13 points, with nine ground balls and five caused turnovers. This is Venazio's second Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

A freshman goalkeeper, piled up 15 saves in the Bulldog's 13-7 win over No. 10 Indianapolis this past weekend. The Portland, Ore. native faced 38 shots while also recording four groundballs. This is Erickson's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
