Two Men’s Soccer Players Named To Academic All-District Team
BRISTOL, Conn. - Two men's soccer players from the South Atlantic Conference have been named to the ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District College Division Women's Soccer Team.
The ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District team is selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). District III includes the states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

Wingate senior forward Junior Nyemb (Douala, Cameroon) was named
to the men's soccer first team. Nyemb is a two-time NSCAA
All-Region first team performer. This year, he is second on the
Bulldog charts with nine goals. In 2008, Nyemb led the team and
charted second in the SAC with 16 goals. He had 33 points and six
match-winners in 2008.
A three-time All-South Atlantic Conference performer, Nyemb's
career statistics include 44 goals, 13 assists and 13
match-winners. A four-year starter, Nyemb has been Wingate's
scoring leader each of his first three seasons.
An active member of Wingate's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee,
Nyemb attended the 2008 NCAA National Student-Athlete Leadership
Development Conference. A Modern Languages major, Nyemb has a 3.56
GPA.
Catawba
Catawba senior forward Andrew Landry (Oshawa, Ontario, CANADA/Donevan Institute) has been named to the second team College Division Men's Soccer Academic All-District 3 Team by ESPN The Magazine. The Dean's List student has a 3.49 grade point average while majoring in athletic training and has been named to the SAC Honor Roll three times.
Landry leads the team this season with eight goals and has added two assists. He has started 15 of 16 matches. Over his career, he has tallied 19 goals with nine assists. Landry was named second team All-SAC as a freshman after scoring seven goals with five assists.
