Soccer Player of the Week Honors go to MHC’s Scott, AU’s Waters

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill goalkeeper Zac Scott and Anderson midfielder Allie Waters have been named the SAC Soccer Players of the Week, league officials announced on Tuesday.

Scott posted two shutouts last week and broke the Mars Hill record for career shutouts in the Lions' win over Lenoir-Rhyne.

Against the Bears, Scott made three saves in MHC's 2-0 victory. He followed that up with a five-save performance against North Georgia -- a match which the Lions won 3-0.

Waters scored three goals last week, leading Anderson to a pair of SAC wins. Against Tusculum, Waters netted a game-winning penalty kick in overtime -- her first golden goal of the season.

Waters scored two goals earlier in the week in AU's win over Brevard. On the season, she is second on the team with five goals.
